Chennai, January 14: Spewing venom against Governor TN Ravi following his faceoff with the DMK-led-Tamil Nadu government, DMK leader Shivaji Krishnamurthy has made abusive and threatening remarks against Governor Ravi. Addressing an event, the ruling party leader said that “if the governor refuses to take Ambedkar's name in his Assembly speech, don't I have the right to attack him?"

"If the governor does not read the speech given by the (Tamil Nadu) government, then go to Kashmir and we will send terrorists so that they will kill you,” Krishnamurthy said.

The DMK leader’s comments have stoked a huge controversy. Of late, the DMK government in Tamil Nadu and Governor RN Ravi have been at loggerheads.  Tamil Nadu BJP leader Narayanan Thirupathy slammed Krishamurthy, saying that “it's DMK's culture. For the last 60 years, they've been using foul and filthy language.

“It's in DMK's DNA. Shivajii Krishnamoorthy and RS Bharathi had abused Governor RN Ravi and said they'll kill him. We wonder if DMK has any links with terrorists,” Thirupathy was quoted by news agency ANI.
The rift between the governor and DMK was wide open when Ravi walked out of the Assembly on January 9 after CM Stalin registered objection over the governor digressing from the prepared speech.

The Tamil Nadu governor had skipped the 65th point of the speech. "Following the principles and ideals of stalwarts like Thanthai Periyar (EV Ramasamy), Annal Ambedkar, Perunthalaivar Kamarajar (K Kamaraj), Perarignar Anna (CN Annadurai) and Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar (M Karunanidhi), the government has been delivering themuch-acclaimed Dravidian model of governance to its people," the text containing 67 points in all, had read.

The ruling DMK and its allies skipped a Pongal event organised by Governor Ravi on Thursday.
