ABES College SUSPENDS the teachers who removed a student off stage for chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’

The ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad suspended two professors, Mamta Gautam and Shweta Sharma, for opposing ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan by a student and removing him off stage.
 
This came after the director of ABES College Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh shared this information via the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the institute.

"A video came to my notice yesterday. Based on that video, we formed a high-level inquiry committee. The college administration had directed this committee to submit a report within 24 hours. On the basis of the recommendation given by the committee, 2 faculty are suspended for behaving irresponsibly," the director said.
 
 
Mamta Gautam, an associate professor in the chemistry department at ABES College, and Shweta Sharma, an assistant professor in the same department, are the two professors suspended by the college. Mamta Gautam has 16 years of teaching experience, while Shweta Sharma has 12 years of experience in the field.
 
A video went viral about a cultural event at ABES College in Ghaziabad in which a student, while addressing the audience from the stage, greeted them with “Jai Shri Ram.” In response, associate professor Mamta Gautam, who was present there criticized and removed him from the stage.

As the videos went viral sparking outrage on social media, police were deployed at the college. Hindu groups demanded action against college authorities. The police have assured that they will probe the incident and take suitable action. BJP leaders too are up in arms against the college authorities.
 
Meanwhile, a video has also surfaced in which a woman claiming to be the same teacher says she never objected to ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan. She says that the boy was removed because he was arguing. Highlighting her ‘Sanatani’ roots, the teacher says she is being targeted by on online mob.
