Correct analysis of enemy strength is a constant challenge . Israel failed to assess Hamas, its capability and intentions, overestimated its own capability.

Enemy will always use innovative methods

Innovative tactics by Hama ie use of hand gliders, dozers, three wheelers etc, Innovative use of drones

Long time for preparation and training on the exact replica of target paid rich dividends.

Technology not Supreme, man behind Technology equally important.

Wrong decisions taken by liberals in the past like vacating Gaza proved disastrous.

Keeping pace with changing Technology is very important.

Political turmoil on local agendas changed 4 govt in 2 years.

Complacency of Israel govt, people, armed forces & Intelligence agencies proved costly.

En will surprise you

Dynamics and dimensions of warfare are rapidly changing with the tech changes. Everything is possible, plausible in War. If anything needs to be learned from this Israeli failure, it is that India needs to be doubly alert.

We are surrounded by Pakistan and China. No soft peddling when dealing with known terrorists and their organizations. All known terrorist camps, terrorists should be destroyed.

If you haven't had a war for many years, don't assume the enemy has disappeared into thin air, he is lurking around, looking for your soft belly to hit.

Total dependence on technology is not security, alert foot soldiers on ground are important.

If you had no war, stop thinking soldiers are a drain on your exchequer, they may not be financially productive but they are assets protectors.

No amount of new weapons will help, it is always the man behind the gun who wins war.

Lasting peace is possible only by being militarily superior, ever alert and combat ready.

Negotiating & expecting peace with those who have terror in mind can prove to be very costly.

Destroy terror using all means & if necessary with force. That's the only permanent solution.

Internal conflict, political instability, doubts about your own policies and confusion among leaders & upper hierarchy invites disaster.

Keep your hand firmly gripped on a superior weapon and do not hesitate to pre-empt the enemy move.

No First Attack" / "No First Use" doctrine emboldens the enemy .

LASTLY REMEMBER, IT'S NOT THE MACHINE BUT THE MAN BEHIND THE MACHINE WHO WILL SAVE THE DAY AND WIN THE WARS FOR INDIA .

But in recent years it has promised about $2bn for base upgrades and new facilities. In Darwin, that includes a mission planning and operations center and 11 jet fuel storage tanks. A couple of hours south - at the Tindal air base - storage hangers for nuclear-capable bomber planes and a huge ammunition bunker will be built.

The number of U.S. companies operating in the city has fallen for four years in a row, by Hong Kong’s count, hitting 1,258 in June 2022, the fewest since 2004. Last year, mainland Chinese companies with regional headquarters in Hong Kong outnumbered American ones for the first time in at least three decades.

The Enemies of Freedom Are Deadlier Than Ever-Western liberal ideas aren’t guaranteed to prevail, and comforting myths breed complacency.

Central to the West’s idea of its modern historic supremacy has been the comforting myth that we have prevailed because of the superiority of our ideas.

Might in the end can’t overcome right, we think. The brute force of tyranny and totalitarian terror can succeed for a while—even a long while—but eventually, the human yearning for freedom and justice has an inescapable logic. It is not so much that right will always overcome might, as that being “right” confers on us a power that is mightier than any dictator could ever muster.

Israel: From the six-day war to the six-front war

If Israel is asking its best allies to help the Jewish state seek justice in Gaza while also asking them to look the other way as Israel builds a settlement kingdom in the West Bank with the expressed goal of annexation, that is strategically and morally incoherent.

Israel Says Navy Stops Hamas Divers From Infiltrating South

Israel-Hamas war shows the formidable power of narrative

Democratic governments need to build societal resilience to manipulation

Unconventional warfare like we have seen recently with Hamas' attack on Israel is led by disinformation and a quest to dominate the narrative. These are integrated into physical operations, into asymmetric warfare, into terrorism and into information warfare. The strategy begins before hostilities start and seeks to set the agenda for leaders and their publics, their militaries and geopolitics.

The Hamas tunnel city beneath Gaza - a hidden frontline for Israel

Israeli ground troops in Gaza are expected to encounter an extensive Hamas tunnel network, stretching hundreds of kilometers in length and descending up to 80 meters deep. One former hostage described it as a "spider's web," while an expert likened it to the "Viet Cong times 10." These tunnels serve various purposes, including attack, smuggling, storage, and operational activities, with different types of tunnels found beneath the 360-square-kilometer coastal strip and its borders.
