Mysterious or Obvious? Lashkar-e-Taiba top recruiter 'Jihadi Guru' Abdullah Shaheen killed in Pakistan's Kasur

Kasur, Dec 25: In a shocking turn of events, Abdullah Shaheen, a prominent terrorist associated with the terror group Lashkar-E-Taiba was killed in Kasur, Pakistan. He was reportedly struck by an ‘UNKNOWN’ vehicle making it more mysterious as till now terrorists residing in Pakistan have been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

Abdullah Shaheen, known for his role as a terrorist and recruiter for LeT, was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Kasur leading to his immediate death at the scene. Eyewitnesses reported that a group of ‘Unknown Men’ were driving the vehicle.

Abdullah Shaheen earned the name of ‘Jihadi Guru’ due to his influential role in Lashkar-e-Taiba. As a recruiter, he was responsible for recruiting and radicalizing individuals.
 
Notably, his name surfaced when the LeT terror group was planning to sneak into Indian territory along with 12-15 battle-hardened jihadis to carry out terror strikes just days before US President Barack Obama’s visit. They were also planning to launch infiltration attempts from many launching areas simultaneously.

Apart from the rivals, reports also surfaced that intelligence agencies may have played a role in orchestrating the attack as part of their efforts to dismantle terrorist networks in the region.


Earlier this month, Habibullah, another LeT terrorist and recruiter, was reportedly killed by unknown gunmen opened fire in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district. This 'targeted killing' came days after the assassination of Adnan Ahmed, a close associate of LeT founder and mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed, who was gunned down in Karachi earlier this year.

News of Shaheen's killing comes days after reports surfaced about India's most-wanted fugitive, Dawood Ibrahim, allegedly being hospitalized due to poisoning by unknown assailants.
