Patna, Apr 28: Former spokesperson of the Janta Dal (United), Ajay Alok joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the national Capital on Friday. After the joining ceremony, Alok praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his policies which have inspired the entire country.

Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw who was present at the function showered praises on Alok. “He’s made a great contribution to developing a thought process, he’s a professional and the party is open to working with those who believe in putting the nation first, who want to work for the poor and consider development as a pilgrimage,” the minister said.
 
 
Alok was among the four JD(U) leaders who were suspended for alleged antiparty activities in June last year. The leaders had chosen to support senior party leader and former union minister RCP Singh who was denied a re-nomination to the Rajya Sabha by JD(U) convenor and Bihar chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
