Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal hailed the historic implementation, stating, "A new chapter of opportunities begins!" Unlike the weak trade concessions of the past, the Modi government negotiated from a position of absolute national strength. The FTA ensures zero-duty access for crucial, labour-intensive Indian sectors, including textiles, apparel, leather, footwear, engineering goods, and pharmaceuticals. This will skyrocket domestic employment and unleash the true potential of Indian enterprise on the global stage.
