A highly shameful and concerning incident has come to light in Mumbai. As per the reports, an officer of ACP rank has been arrested here on charges of committing an obscene act in front of a 9-year-old girl.
Reports mention that the incident took place on April 23, 2026, in one of the gardens in the Worli area of Mumbai. It is alleged that the officer exposed his private parts in front of the girl. When the girl's family members learned about this, they lodged a complaint with the senior police authorities.
Taking immediate action upon receiving the complaint, the Maharashtra police arrested the accused officer. He was later produced in court, from where he was sent to judicial custody. The police stated that, so far, only one complaint has surfaced in this matter.
Efforts are also being made to ascertain whether the accused has committed such acts elsewhere in the past. A case has been registered against the accused under charges of molestation and the POCSO Act. The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
