On Sunday, 10th May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi
criticised the Congress party during a BJP public meeting at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds in Hyderabad. Modi accused the Congress of promoting Maoist ideology and claimed that people were now referring to the party as the "Muslim League Maoist Congress".
Modi said Maoist violence had harmed the country and that Telangana had suffered for many years because of extremism. He alleged that Congress and Left parties had supported Maoist ideology. He added that Telangana was now moving towards freedom from Maoist influence under the NDA government.
The Prime Minister said political change in Telangana was becoming certain, and the Prime Minister criticised Congress, alleging that the party had become synonymous with corruption, family rule, and weakening constitutional institutions. He further alleged that the Trinamool Congress had followed a similar path in West Bengal and said people were now rejecting such politics.

Highlighting development projects, Modi said the Centre had launched projects worth thousands of crores in Telangana. He mentioned the development of the Zaheerabad Industrial Area and the setting up of a PM MITRA textile park in Warangal, which he said would create jobs and benefit farmers.
Modi also spoke about global economic challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the Russo-Ukrainian War. He said the Centre was providing fertilisers to farmers at subsidised rates despite rising global prices.
Calling for support for the “Vocal for Local” initiative, Modi urged citizens to reduce fuel consumption, use electric vehicles, avoid imported goods, and support local products. He also encouraged farmers to reduce the use of chemical fertilisers and adopt natural farming methods.

Concluding his speech, Modi appealed to citizens and organisations to work together in the national interest and said unity would help India overcome global challenges.
