Security forces have arrested a Pakistani national near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district during a joint anti-infiltration operation launched on the basis of specific intelligence inputs, officials said on June 13.

The operation, codenamed 'Operation Simri', was conducted by troops of the Indian Army's Chinar Corps in coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police after intelligence agencies alerted security forces about a possible infiltration attempt in the border area.
 
According to officials, the suspect had crossed into Indian territory under suspicious circumstances. Acting on the intelligence input, security personnel intensified surveillance and launched a search operation in the area.
