On Tuesday, June 16, Maharashtra Police issued a notice to a social media platform for posting a video showing minor students singing and dancing to an Islamic song in a school gathering. The video was posted by the Treeni social media handle and showed how minor students from a school in the Jalna region of Maharashtra were made to sing and dance to 'Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek saja, Sar Tan se Juda Sar Tan Se juda'.
As per the exclusive information obtained by NewsBharati, the dance was spotted from Tarique Siddiqui's friend's social club, Partur's 'Kids World English School'. The minor boys could be seen waving swords (probably fake) while dancing to the song 'Sar Tan Se Juda Sar Tan Se Juda'. While this, a photo of Pakistani assassin Mumtaz Qadri was displayed in the background.
The Maharashtra Police sent a notice to the social media handle, saying that the 'account holder disseminated the video by creating and spreading a false narrative with the ulterior motive of disturbing communal harmony and inciting Hindu-Muslim riots'.
"Cyber Police Station, Dist Jalna, Maharashtra, is investigating an App registered with Partur Police Station. A video of a gathering held during the annual cultural function of a school falling within the jurisdiction of Jalna district in the year 2025, which had also been uploaded on YouTube, has been re-circulated as of today by the holder of the X (formerly Twitter) account "@treeni" with the intention of gaining likes and views. The account holder has disseminated the video by creating and spreading a false narrative with the ulterior motive of disturbing communal harmony and inciting Hindu-Muslim riots. So you are requested to delete this objectionable content as early as possible," the notice said.
Meanwhile, the Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) took cognizance of the event and stated that instead of taking action against the school that is promoting the Jihadi notion of Sar Tan Se Juda, the Maharashtra Police is taking action against the one who is exposing the dangerous mindset.
Also, Treeni, the social media handle facing the notice, said that the country's future should not be made to dance to such songs. "Making children — the future of this country — dance on 'Sar Tan Se Juda' is alarming. And instead of agencies taking action, it's shocking to see that the police are trying to brush the whole matter under the carpet by trying to intimidate us. This is unacceptable, and we won't be deleting the post," Treeni said while exclusively talking to Newsbharati.
It is important to note that 'Sar Tan Se Juda' is an Islamic war cry raised by the Islamist community against individuals who, as per Islamic law, commit alleged blasphemy. In 2025, the Allahabad High Court also
held that this slogan does not fall within the scope of freedom of speech and constitutes hate speech. According to the court, this slogan challenges the rule of law, sovereignty, and integrity of India because it incites people to armed rebellion and violence.
