Amaira, a nine-year-old Class 4 student at Neerja Modi School in Jaipur, died on November 1, 2025, after falling from the school's fourth floor. Her family says she had
endured 18 months of bullying, including sexually suggestive language from classmates, and that her class teacher repeatedly brushed aside complaints from both Amaira and her parents, instead telling them she needed to "adjust" to her peers.
The family has now made public a set of CCTV clips
obtained from the school, which they say document the events leading up to her death, including several attempts by Amaira to seek help from her teacher that morning.
Speaking to the media, Amaira's mother, Shivani, described the footage as capturing a sequence of bullying, repeated pleas for help, and moments where school staff failed to step in. She said the recordings show a male classmate seated in front of Amaira displaying content on a digital slate, a device she noted is officially prohibited in the classroom, questioning why the teacher permitted its use. She said the situation escalated as other boys joined in, showing similar content to Amaira on the same device, and that her daughter appeared visibly confused and distressed, eventually signaling that something was wrong.

While the footage itself doesn't show what was displayed on the slate, and neither the family nor investigators have been able to establish this, Shivani believes her daughter's reaction points to something disturbing. She described Amaira holding her head and covering her ears before finally approaching her teacher just before noon.
According to the parents, the footage shows a stark shift in their daughter's demeanor. She arrived at school that morning appearing cheerful and confident, but within an hour, her body language changed noticeably. Shivani said she believes Amaira was attempting to describe something with sexual undertones to her teacher, though she acknowledged there's no way to confirm what was actually on the screen. She recalled watching her daughter's posture change from upright and assured to visibly slumped as she tried to explain herself, and said the teacher, rather than helping, appeared to confront and threaten her.
The family says the footage shows Amaira went to her class teacher five separate times over roughly 25 minutes that day, seeking intervention before the incident occurred.
Amaira's parents say this timeline supports their long-standing claim that clear warning signs were repeatedly ignored, and they are now calling on authorities to hold those responsible accountable as the investigation moves forward. The school has denied any wrongdoing, and the case remains under investigation.
