On Monday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray backed the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest and compared its founder Abhijeet Dipke to Lord Vishnu. "Abhijeet Dipke is an Avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu," he said in an exclusive interview on the Mumbai Tak news channel.

The piece called the minister's resignation the movement's "first political casualty," suggesting that sustained public pressure, not voluntary choice, pushed the government to let him go, despite initial resistance.
UBT leader Sanjay Raut hosted the interview and asked Thackeray what he thought about the Modi government and the past 12 years of his government. "The BJP government has been controlling the nation for the past 12 years, and suddenly a Marathi youngster who was studying in the USA got triggered by the CJI's cockroach remarks, and what happened next is something that the nation had never seen," Raut said.
"I told you no, Dipke is nothing but Lord Vishnu's Avatar," Thackeray said further, demanding the resignation of PM Modi after Dharmendra Pradhan. He also said that Dharmendra Pradhan deserved this hatred as he never stood for 'Dharma' though his name was 'Dharmendra'.
