Two Terrorists Killed In Joint Operation In Udhampur’s Brattal Area

Udhampur September 17 : Two suspected terrorists were killed in a joint intelligence-based counter-terrorism operation in the Brattal area of Udhampur during the intervening night of September 16 and 17.
The operation, code-named ‘Operation Sohan’, was carried out by the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Security forces continued search and surveillance operations in the area to check for any remaining threat.
According to the White Knight Corps, security forces received confirmed intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the general area of Brattal.
Troops launched a targeted operation despite hostile weather, difficult terrain and poor visibility. The joint operation resulted in the neutralisation of two suspected terrorists.
The White Knight Corps said the operation remains underway, with security personnel continuing searches and surveillance to ensure that no other threats remain in the area.
The operation reflects the continued coordination between the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF in conducting intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across Jammu and Kashmir.
The latest operation comes days after Jammu and Kashmir Police identified a terrorist killed during Operation Ashdar in the Yousmarg area of Budgam district.
On September 4, the police identified the slain terrorist as Yasir, a Pakistani national affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The identification was made following an encounter involving joint security forces.

Jammu and Kashmir Police said on X that the terrorist had been neutralised during Operation Ashdar and identified him as a Pakistani national associated with LeT.
