27th Hunar Haat in Bhopal focuses on 'commitment to Swadeshi and Swavlamban'

Bhopal, Mar 12: The 27th Hunar Haat organized at Bhopal has started from today, focussing on 'Commitment to Swadeshi and Swavalamban' and 'Resolve to Self-reliant India', said Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. The minister also emphasized that the anniversary of Dandi March will be observed on Mar 12, with the launch of a 75 weeks-long 'Amrut Mahotsav' in order to commemorate 75 years of Indian Independence, which will witness various glorious and memorable events.

The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be inaugurating the 27th Hunar Haat of indigenous products of artisans and craftsmen from across the country, at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on Mar 13. The Union Minority Affairs Ministry is organizing the 27th 'Hunar Haat' at Bhopal's Lal Parade Ground, with the theme of 'Vocal for Local' till Mar 21. According to the reports, more than 600 artisans and craftsmen from more than 31 States and UTs are participating in the 'Hunar Haat' in Bhopal.
 
 
Artisans are participating from Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. The artisans have displayed rare, elegant and magnificent indigenous handmade products for sale.
 
 
 
 
According to minister Naqvi, Hunar Haats have proved to be 'Employment and Empowerment Exchange' of artisans and craftsmen. The Hunar Haats have provided employment and employment opportunities to more than 5 lakh 50,000 artisans, craftsmen and artists yet. The Union Ministry of Minority Affairs will provide employment and employment opportunities to 7 lakh 50,000 artisans and craftsmen through 75 Hunar Haat, which will be organised until the completion of 75 years of Indian independence.
