The letter was sent to the Indian mission in Islamabad and read, “We are very sorry to hear about the exceptionally heavy impact that the pandemic has had on your country, where a tremendous number of people are suffering immensely. As a neighboring friend, we sympathize with you greatly and during this strenuous time, we would like to extend our help in the form of fleet of 50 ambulances along with our services to assist you in addressing, and further circumventing, the current health conditions.”

Although, many people are misinterpreting the foundation's assistance as the Pakistan govt's assistance, it is to be noted that the assistance is being provided by the Edhi Foundation on a personal level. The foundation is reputed of executing selfless social work across border. However, the Pakistan govt has yet not issued any official statement in this regard.
