New Delhi, May 15: In a very huge blunder, the Indian National Congress Party on Saturday morning used a wrong image while remembering the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa.

The Twitter handle of Congress wrote: "Field Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa OBE was the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army and the first Indian to command a battalion. On his death anniversary, we thank him for his valor and leadership during the all-important Indo-Pakistan War of 1947."

Everything written in the post was right, however, the picture the Congress party used was of Field Marshal Manekshaw instead of K.M Cariappa. Minutes later, Twitteratis reminded the Congress of its blunder following which the party deleted.
