Kolkata, May 06: In the very first incident after taking the oath as Chief Minister of West Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee has shown what her real side of being a politician is. After all the chaos in the state, she on Monday blatantly chose to speak up on risking lives amid the COVID-19 spread. "I haven't got any reply from PM Modi over the issue of free vaccination", she said in her address.

She also pondered about why was tha Centre not allotting Rs 30,000 crores for vaccines when they were making new Parliament and statues, spending Rs 20,000 crores. "Where is the PM CARES Fund? Why are they risking the lives of young people? Their leaders should visit COVID hospitals, instead of going places. Their leaders are coming and spreading COVID", she flagrantly added.

Further playing a wicked role she accused the Centre's team of coming to the state and going back amidst the COVID-19 sitch. "Now if ministers come, they've to get an RT-PCR negative report, even for special flights. The rule should be the same for all. COVID is increasing because of BJP leaders coming here again & again", she said indirectly signalling the BJP leaders to not enter the state.

Amidst the post poll violence in the state of West Bengal, CM Mamata Banerrjee kept her swearing in ceremony a low key affair inviting no other state leaders, no other political party leaders. This is within 24 hours of elections results, at least a dozen of people have been reported dead in post poll violence in the state of West Bengal, a figure that may be higher than the number of those killed during the month-long polls.
