N Rangasamy sworn in as chief minister of Puducherry

Puducherry, May 07: All India NR Congress chief N Rangasamy took the oath as the Chief Minister of Puducherry for the fourth time on Friday. He was sworn in by Lt. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Nivas.

The ceremony which began at 1.20 PM lasted five minutes. In the view of the covid norms in the U&T, only elected MLAs, senior party functionaries, Chief Secretary Ashwani Kumar, and other government officials were presented during the occasion.
 
Soon after the ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the new Chief Minister." I would like to congratulate Shri N.Rangasamy Ji on taking oath as Puducherry CM. Best wishes for the tenure ahead." tweeted PM Modi.
 
 
 
It should be noted that Rangasamy was the only minister to take oath on Friday. According to the AINRC, his cabinet ministers comprising the AINRC and BJP members would be sworn in sometime next week.
 
 
The AINRC party won 10 seats while its alliance BJP bagged 6 seats in the Puducherry Assembly Elections 2021.
