The police has also filed FIR  in Delhi's Safdarjung Enclave in connection with an incident.

This is not the first time such a racism case has been reported in the country. People from northeastern states such as Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Manipur are often targeted for their Mongoloid features.

Because of their mongoloid feature, some people racially abused the northeast by calling them Chinki, Manchurian, Chowmein. Even after the coronavirus, these people gone further and also started calling them Corona, as the virus was first reported in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

Last year, a man racially abused a Manipuri girl by allegedly calling her 'corona' and spitting on her in North Delhi.
