Kabul, August 17: At a time when every other person living in Afghanistan is trying to escape from the nation as soon as possible, fearing Islamic terrorist organization Taliban, one Hindu pandit, Rajesh Kumar turned out to be an exception and refused to leave the nation, to save his Dharma.

Pandit Rajesh Kumar who is the priest of a Rattan Nath Temple in Kabul is currently standing like a lone soldier amid the ongoing turmoil in Afghanistan. He said that some Hindu people urged him to leave Kabul and also offered arrangements but he refused to flee. He said that his ancestors served this Mandir for hundreds of years and he cannot abandon the temple.
 
 
"Some Hindus have urged me to leave Kabul & offered to arrange for my travel and stay. But my ancestors served this Mandir for hundreds of years. I will not abandon it." He further courageously said, if the Taliban kills him it will be his Sewa to the temple where his ancestors have always served. He said, " If the Taliban kills me, I consider it my Seva."

On the other hand, the Afghan President fled the nation soon after the Taliban took control over the heart of the country, Kabul. Fearing reprisal, thousands of desperate Afghanis are trying to flee the country. In a video from the Kabul airport, hundreds of Afghans were seen struggling to climb into an airplane from the only ladder connected to it.
