Not Bebo, its Queen to play role of Goddess Sita in upcoming movie

Mumbai, September 15:  And it is confirmed! Four-time National award winner and Thalaivi actress, Kangana Ranaut, has bagged the lead role of ‘Goddess Sita’ in an upcoming film ‘The Incarnation- Sita’ which is based on the mythological character from the epic Ramayana.

The film will be directed by Alaukik Desai and backed by producer Saloni Sharma from SS Studio. The maker of the movie and actress self-made the announcement.
Unveiling a teaser poster of the upcoming period film, she wrote, “Glad to be on board for the title role with this immensely talented team of artists…With the blessings of Sita Ram…Jai Siya Ram.”

Besides producer Saloni Sharma expressing her happiness, she said that she could not have been happier to work Kangana Ranaut in the upcoming period drama.
 
 
“Kangana symbolizes the spirit and essence of the Indian woman – fearless, daunting, and daring. It’s time we stepped in to celebrate equality in every respect," she said.
"The Incarnation - Sita" has been penned by screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad, who also wrote Ranaut's recent outing "Thalaivii". ‘Sita The Incarnation’ will be released in 5 different languages, namely, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The news of Kangana playing Sita comes in at a point when there is a lot of talk about Kareena Kapoor Khan being approached for a similar role has been doing the rounds. Ranaut will next be seen in "Dhaakad" and "Tejas", in which she will play the role of an Indian Air Force pilot.
