Police booked Sonu Sood for campaigning for sister on poll day

Moga, Feb 22: Sonu Sood has been landed in legal trouble, Punjab Police have filed a complaint against theSood for violating orders of the Moga additional district magistrate in connection with the model code of conduct. The actor was seen in violation of poll regulations and campaigning for his sister on the day of voting.

Police have booked Sood under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code on Sunday in Punjab's Moga district. Moga Police station SHO Inspector Daljit Singh has informed that the case against Sonu Sood was registered for his violation of the code of conduct as noticed by the election officials.
Sonu's sister Malvika Sood Sachar was contesting elections from Moga as a Congress candidate On February 20, Sood was seen roaming in his hometown of Moga from where his sister was contesting the assembly elections on a Congress ticket.

After that SAD leaders complained that Sood was trying to influence voters at Landeke village near Moga, the Election Commission had impounded his vehicle and instructed him to stay inside his home. Sood was allegedly campaigning for Malvika at Landeke village on the day of voting.
