New Delhi, May 30: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results for both written examination as well as interviews held this year and it turns out that women have aced the exams. Shruti Sharma has achieved AIR 1, whereas Ankita Agarwal, Gamini Singla and Aishwarya Verma have achieved AIRs 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
Based on the result of the written part of the Civil Services Examination, 2021 that the Union Public Service Commission had held in Jan, 2022 and the interviews for Personality Test that were held in Apr - May this year, the list of the recommended candidates was announced today (May 30).
According to the merit list, the recommended candidates will be appointed for the services; Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’), respectively. According to the UPSC notification, a total number of 685 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Besides, the result of 1 candidate has been kept withheld.
Shruti Sharma who has ranked first in the country for UPSC examination and interview results, hails from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. She has completed her education in Delhi and is a student of History. Ankita Agarwal who stood second in the country hails from Kolkata and had achieved an AIR of 236 in UPSC 2019. Gamini Singh, AIR 3, studied Computer Science Engineering From Punjab Engineering College, in Chandigarh. Aishwarya Verma and Utkarsh Dwivedi have achieved AIRs 4 and 5 respectively.
