Youtuber Faisal Wani who virtually beheaded Sharma arrested

Srinagar, Jun 11: YouTuber Faisal Wani from Kashmir through a VFX in his video showed himself beheading a photo of Nupur Sharma, and then picking up the head. The video that went viral, was later deleted and the YouTuber also apologized for it on Saturday (Jun 11). Many social media users reported the video to J&K Police. Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested YouTuber Faisal Wani.

YouTuber Faisal Wani, in his video, appeared bare-bodied, beheaded a photo of Nupur Sharma, and then picked up the head. Despite of several social media users having reported the video to J&K Police and urging to take action against the graphic video that was uploaded on Friday (Jun 10) night, yet the sensitive video made considerable rounds around the social media, which was later deleted.

While apologizing about the video, the Kashmiri YouTuber said, "I made a VFX in the video. It went viral in no time. Yes, I made the video but I did not have any ill intention. I deleted the video and I apologize if it hurt anyone." He further added, "I am a simple person. My business of ladies' garments has not been doing well. You can verify and check my background and what my activities are...I am from a middle-class family."
 
According to the recent updates, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested the YouTuber on Saturday (Jun 11), after his apology.

In another similar incident in Kashmir, in response to Nupur Sharma's statement against the prophet, another video of people gathering around the mosque to listen to the hate speech targeting Hindus had went viral. The incident in Bhaderwah took place aa day earlier, on Thursday (Jun 10), where the a Muslim cleric is seen publicly threatening to behead Nupur Sharma and those supporting her.
