10 people injured in Manipur bomb blast

Imphal, October 14: The bomb blast took place in the city of Imphal in which 10 people were injured including a ten-year-old boy. This incident happened on the local exhibition ground Tera Lukram Leirak area which comes under Lamphel Police Station at Sagolband.

 

According to the local media, two persons on a bike threw the bomb inside the exhibition ground, both are unknown. Along with the injured people, some of the stalls were fully damaged. Injured people are admitted to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Hospital in Imphal.

The local media stated that the exhibition would begin on October 15 and continue till October 25. The injured victims have been identified as Thiyam Anand (44) Nameirakpam Bedajit (38) Thounaojam Iboyaima (58) Thiyam Basanta (45) Ahanthem Thoi (36) Lisham Ibomcha (48) Nameirakpam Jamhill (10) Tofar Ali (24) and Soubam Sunder (15).

Police have conducted the search operations. Still, there is no report of any arrest related to the blast but the investigation is in progress and the case has been registered at Lamphel police station.
