Online campaigns playing important role in upcoming Japan election

Tokyo, October 16: As social media has cast its impression over all the aspects of modern life, the upcoming election of the lower house in Japan which is to be held on October 22 is also witnessing the increasing role of social media and online campaign. The competitors and political parties are posting various campaign videos on their websites and social networking sites top gain public attention.

"We'll protect this country. Please let us hear your voice," Abe says in an online video. In other videos, he talks about implementation of Abeconomics, education policies. LDP has its website, social network sites and YouTube channel for the campaign.
