Odense, October 20: Indian shuttlers including HS Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth and Saina Nehwal registered a comprehensive win over their opponents respectively and stormed into the quarterfinals of the Denmark Open Superseries on Thursday which is being held in Odense, Denmark.

The unseeded Indian outclassed the seventh-seeded Malaysian and three-time Olympic silver medalist Lee Chong Wei by 21-17, 11-21, 21-19 in a match that lasted an hour and three minutes to advance to the quarterfinals. Interestingly, it was Prannoy's second successive victory over Lee.

Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal registered a commanding win over Nitchaon Jindapol of Thailand in straight games by 22-20, 21-13 in a match that lasted only for 42 minutes. It was Saina's seventh victory over the Thai. Saina is the only Indian in Women's Singles.

On the other side, Srikanth required three games over the course of one hour, 51 minutes for a hard-fought 21-13, 8-21, 21-18 win over Jeon Hyeok Jin of South Korea. Unfortunately, Olympic and World Championship Silver medalist PV Sindhu had made a shocking first-round exit. PV Sindhu lost to Sayaka Sato by 13-21 23-21 18-21 in a second-round match that lasted an hour and five minutes. It was Sindhu's first event after the Olympics. She will now play at the French Open next week.
