Paris, October 3: The Marseille attack stands as the deadliest one in Macron’s watch on the country. Soon after the attack, the French police were on high-alert and started sniffing the streets of the capital. And recently, the Paris prosecutor has opened an anti-terror investigation after the discovery at the weekend of a homemade bomb at a building in Paris. 5 people have been arrested, said the local newspapers.

During the investigation of the building, police discovered two gas cylinders in the hall. They also found a mobile phone linked to the cylinders, which appeared to be “device to ignite” the explosives. The news was passed on to the police by a local resident after finding two gas cylinders on Saturday.
Another source said that the 4 suspects to this incident were taken into custody on Monday. Even after nabbing these 4 suspects, the terrorist threat remains to be high in the country after it had been hit by a series of jihadist attacks since 2015. The latest attack in France was on Sunday in Marseille when a knifeman stabbed two young women in daylight on the streets.
