Violence is no solution for settling political scores: Tamilisai Soundararajan

Chennai, Oct 30: Expressing deep concern over the recent attacks on BJP worker, Tamil Nadu state in-charge Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that political parties should not encourage violence to settle the score against political and ideological opponents. Speaking to the media after attending the internal party meeting Soundararajan opined, “Instead of locking horns on some or another issues political class should engage a healthy discussion to resolve differences,” she mentioned.

She was referring to the recent faceoff between BJP and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi workers over the raging controversy of Vijay-starrer Mersal where VCK activists allegedly attacked BJP activist. When asked about the upcoming byelection for the .K. Nagar Assembly segment Soundararajan announced that BJP would contest the bypoll. She demanded a probe in the alleged case of bogus voter list.

Clearing her stand on the ongoing inquiry commission constituted by the State government to probe the death of AIDMK leader and former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, Soundararajan hoped that the probe in a fair manner would clear the clear the doubts in the minds of people.
