Catalonia Independence: Puigdemont said dialogue and moderation always has to prevail; ready for the elections

Madrid, November 1: The independence of Catalonia’s independence is now up to the snap elections which will be carried out by the Spain’s central government on December 21, so that the breaking away should be stopped. The unseated leader of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont has also agreed to the election.

 

According to the local media, Puigdemont said that he is ready for the elections but his fight for the independence will go on. While on Thursday and Friday, as per the Spain's High Court summons against Puigdemont and 13 members, the administration will be testified in Madrid because the charges of rebellion, sedition, and breach of trust against them have been started by the court.

Also, the unilateral independence declared by the regional parliament has been blocked by the Spain's Constitutional Court on Wednesday. The ousted leader Carles Puigdemont has fled to Belgium and said that he will return to the country if the fair judicial process is guaranteed. He further said that dialogue and moderation always have to prevail.

On 28th October, Catalonia was declared independent due to the rise of constitutional crisis which led the separatists to vote for independence. But on 29th October, Thousands of people have united on Barcelona’s streets to oppose the split of Catalonia from Spain.
