New Delhi, November 23: It is usually said the defense is not a suitable sector for women, girls should look forward to “secure” job options. These stigmas actually can’t stay forever in a society. Every now and then Indian women are coming out of taboos and crossing all society-imposed limits. India navy gets first lady pilot. Is it not a historic moment? When we read incidents of rape, brutal murder, fetus killing we really leave behind the inspirations like Subhangi Swaroop. This young lady has created history as well as three other women officers who are the first batch of female officers passing out from Indian Naval Academy.

Meet the achievers:
From the batch of 328 cadets which passed out on Wednesday, there were three other women also whose success cannot be overlooked. Astha Segal from New Delhi, Roopa A from Puducherry and Sakthi Maya S from Kerala are the other faces of this milestone. One of them belongs to Indian Coast Guard and two overseas cadets, one each from Tanzania and Maldives. Subhangi Swaroop will now undergo the pilot training at Dundigal Air Force Academy in Hyderabad.

Opt for positives:

When neighbor aunties set a certain age limit for marriage, families kill their girl child before birth, honor killing takes way hundred lives we feel depressed, angry, disappointed. But why we don’t seek inspiration from achievers like Subhangi, Astha, Rupa, Shakti Maya who can lead us to the roads that hold no entry for women. Negativities, drawbacks should be addressed properly but positives should be rejoiced more.

Look up to them:

It is not that India did not have empowered women ever. But now with the change in time, there are many more inspirations. If you want to be a model, you have a role model like Manushi Chillar, if you want to create a storm in Badminton court you have PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, then there are wrestler Phogot sisters Geeta and Bobita, in ministerial cabinet Sushma Swaraj, Nirmala Sitharaman hold two very important profiles. Now, you can add another lady to the list, Shubhangi Swaroop. There is no limitation on your career option actually. From beauty pageant to battlefield woman can stand up anywhere and your sex, race, cast, look nothing can obstruct you if you have the thirst to reach your dream.
