Security forces sent two more Pakistani terrorists into grave; foils major infiltration bid in Kashmir’s Uri sector

Srinagar, November 5: Security forces on Sunday early morning sent two Pakistani terrorists into the graves after they tried to sneak in the Indian side in the Uri sector of Baramulla district along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The combing operation is still on and forces believe that more terrorists are trapped.

 

Notably, the Indian army eliminated two Pakistani terrorists in the Uri sector of Baramulla district along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and foiled the major infiltration bid. After noticing the suspect movement Indian army challenged infiltrator which resulted in the exchange of fires and troops easily eliminated two Pakistani terrorists successfully.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of slain infiltrators. Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said two militants were killed in Uri sector after alert troops foiled the infiltration bid. "A search operation is ongoing in the area," he added.

The gunfight comes a day after a policeman was killed and another injured after militants attacked a police party in Rajpora area of Pulwama district. Earlier, in the month of October this year, The Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) which comprises security and intelligence officials for assessing the ground situation said that at least 70 terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad managed to sneak into the Valley this year.


The Indian security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that at least 180 terrorists are eliminated by Indian troops in a time period of only 10 months.

The slain terrorists included over a dozen top commanders including Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Abu Khalid, Abu Musaib, the nephew of Mumbai terror attack mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba leader, Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi, Lashkar-Toiba Kashmir chief Abu Dujana, Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat, Amarnath attack mastermind and Lashkar-Toiba Kashmir chief Abu Ismail and others. There are over 220 militants active in Kashmir.
