Ahmedabad, December 12: Development, Development and Development! Yes, you all heard it right. When we see the roads and highways are constructed, we say yes development is on. When we see the airports in our city we say yes development is on. But if we see a seaplane flying in the waters, What we will say? Development or Politics, Of course, development! Notably, today a seaplane for the first time ever flew in the waters of Sabarmati riverfront of Gujarat.

Infrastructural development in India including the construction of roads, airports, seaports, power generation has been doubled in a unique method under the leadership of PM Modi and therefore we have seen a consistent growth in foreign investments, tourism etc. However, ‘Seaplane’ is a new and unique mode that will bring employment, tourism, economy in our country and this has been introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.

Today, PM Modi flew by a seaplane from the Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad to about 180 km Dharoi in Mehsana district in Gujarat. By doing this, PM Modi has not only introduced a mere seaplane but introduced the future mode of transportation that will be used in India which will bring a massive boost in the economy.

On the other side, when we look up to the history of Indian politics, we only find the political leaders who followed the trend wisely, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi who innovated his own trends and benefitted the country. PM Modi became the trendsetter and world leaders now follow him. PM Modi was the one who promoted Khadi across the world and set the trend of wearing traditional Khadi Kurtas in the modern world. Likewise, soon seaplane will too become an effective mode of transportation and become a trend.

PM Modi in a series of a tweet yesterday said, “Tomorrow, on this Sabarmati river at 9:30 AM a plane will land. I will be on that seaplane and will go to Dharoi dam and them offer prayers at Ambaji.” "We won't be able to build airports everywhere so we will focus on waterways". He also noted that as many as 106 such water-ways have been planned in the country.

“The Congress can't even imagine development work like this," PM Modi said hitting out at the opposition which has recently pointed to the absence of any mention of development from the BJP in the political discourse in Gujarat.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said this is for the first time in the history of the country that a seaplane will land on a water body and that will be the Sabarmati river.

Congress party showcasing its political vendetta mocked PM Modi for taking a seaplane for campaigning in Gujarat terming it “Hawa Hawai”. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said in a tweet, “They did not understand development. It is called Hawa Hawai.”

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference head Omar Abdullah, posting a picture of the seaplane waiting at the jetty, wondered how the top security for the Prime Minister had been relaxed for him to take the seaplane. “How is it that the security guidelines were relaxed for this flight? No Z+ protectee is allowed to fly in a single-engine aircraft, much less the PM of our country,” he tweeted.

Interestingly, Gujarat is an election-bound state and saw 66.75 voter turn-out in the first phase as per revised Election Commission’s figures. This is lower than last time’s 71.3 percent for the whole state. Over 2 crore 22 lakh people are eligible to exercise their franchise in the second phase, out of which one crore 7 lakh are women. The fate of 851 candidates will be decided in this phase. Polling for 93 seats in this phase will be held next Thursday and counting will be taken up on the 18th of December.
