"It will be a proud occasion when we host the first-ever I-League game at our ground. We believe there won't be any glitch whatsoever and we can stage the game successfully without any hassles whatsoever," the club's finance secretary Debashish Dutta said.

Though the club had a good start in I-league two consecutive draws and injuries to key players the club has lost track in the league. Hence the coach Sanjay Sen warned that the term cannot afford one more point. On the top of that, he thinks win can only commemorate the special match.

With Kingfisher East Bengal, Mohun Bagan is the frontrunners to win or at least finish in a top-four place in this competition. They are experienced side and there is a lot of public support with the team that is important", opponent side coach Norton de Matos Matos said.
