Outraged African countries seek apology from US President Trump over his “shithole” comment

Washington, January 12: A single comment reportedly made by US President Donald Trump has outraged entire Africa. Over migration issue, in a meeting with senators, he had described African nations, as well as Haiti and El Salvador as “shitholes”. After the report broke out, global communities, politicians and African countries condemned the comment. Now, a group of 54 "extremely appalled" African countries demanded he retracts and apologizes for his reported comments.

Earlier Donald Trump totally kept his lip tight over the allegation. But after it earned global notice, he tried to limit the damage. Though he told that he had not used derogatory words but admitted that the language he had used at a meeting with Senators on immigration was “tough”. The report was first published by Washington Times, which is till now unchallenged. Many senators claimed the report is completely accurate.

UN Human Rights organization termed the comment as purely “racist”. “There is no other word one can use but racist. UN ambassadors from African nations called an emergency meeting to discuss the remark. After the emergency session, said they are concerned about the ongoing trend of US administration targeting certain countries. Various leaders from the African countries also condemned the comment.Even on social media African People expressed their discontent over the comment.

While there are generations of migrators in US, it definitely offended them too. As America already an embodiment of citizens from different races it is definitely offensive for black people and the migrants living there too.
