Bengaluru, January 17: Karnataka in-charge K.C. Venugopal predicted that ruling Congress government under the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would retain the power in the state. Addressing the meeting
of state office bearers ahead of the crucial assembly polls slated in
April-May, the former Union Minister has asked Congress
members to ignore the findings of recent pre-poll surveys which predicted defeat
of Congress party.

Questioning the credibility of surveys, the Alleppey MP accused opposition party BJP of influencing voters by floating fabricated pre-poll findings. He urged stakeholder to gear-up for the most important battle to diminish the prospects of BJP ahead of the 2019 general election.
