Seoul, January 8: Giving utmost importance to the inter-Korean talk, North Korea will send a five-member delegation led by Ri Son Gwon, head of its state agency handling inter-Korean affairs. The two countries will host official talk after two long years. Both the countries hope, the talk will go beyond Olympics related discussion.

The talk will largely focus on upcoming winter Olympics. But other than this issue, both sides are expected to bring up their own issue. South Korea will also prepare for discussions on the issue of separated families and ways to ease military tensions as the 1950-53 Korean war ended with an armistice.

“The will to enhance North-South relations must be backed up not by words, but by practical actions to foster inter-Korean reconciliation and unity, and reunification," the North's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.

The talk will be hosted in so-called peace village where two sides usually held talks. After 2015, this will be the first time the two Koreas will be hosting a diplomatic talk. US President Donald Trump said he would like to have talk to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He also said he expects a positive result out of upcoming South-North Korea talk.
