CM Devendra Fadanvis pays tributes to 26/11 martyrs at Hotel Taj

Mumbai, Nov 26: The November 26, 2008 attack on Mumbai was not limited to an attack on a country or a society; it was an attack against humanity. That was the blackest day in the human history, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis appealing to all to put up a concerted fight against terrorism. Let all the countries and communities of the world unite to save the world from terrorism.

Chief Minister placed the wreath at Hotel Taj memorial pillar in memory of the police officers and jawans and citizens who were killed in the 26/11terror attack. He was speaking at the function organized there. American Ambassador Keneth Juster, Japanese Ambassador Kenji Hiramtsu, Israel’s Counsel General Yakob, Brazil’s Counsel General Smt. Rozimar Silvasuzane were present at the dais.

DGP Datta Padaslgikar, CM’s additional Chief Secretary Pravin Pardeshi, Protocol Department Principal Secretary Nandkumar, Mumbai CP Subodjkumar Jaiswal and family members of the martyrs were present.

Chief Minister Fadanvis said that the terrorists had well planned and attacked their their targets like Hotel Taj, Oberoi, Nariman House etc. and targeted the international community. It is necessary to come together and give a concerted fight against terrorism, he said.

 

Fadanvis appealed to the world community to make this world a beautiful place by wedging a war against terrorism. The city of Mumbai fought resolutely against terror on 26/11. Now this entire city is brought under CCTV surveillance and police force has been modernized, he added.

US Ambassador Keneth Juster praised the Mumbaikars for showing courage and valour on 26/11 terror attack. He said that the US is always with India and Indians in times of distress.

Japanese envoy Kenji Hiramatsu expressed his views on this occasion and assured his country’s help in India’s fight against terrorism. Israel’s Counsel General Yakob recalled the attack on Nariman House and said that India and Israel will work together to establish peace and security.

Brazil’s Counsel General Rozimar Silvasuzane showered praises on Mumbaikars for bravely facing the terror attacks with courage. She said that we all will work together to uphold peace and bury the feeling of hatred.
