Another breakthrough for security forces! Lashkar terrorist gunned down in Bandipora district of JK

Srinagar, March 1: Security forces on Thursday early morning eliminated an unknown terrorist belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit after a fierce encounter that took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district. The body of slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition was recovered. However, the operation is still underway.

 

Notably, an unidentified terrorist of LeT terror outfit was killed by the security forces after a fierce encounter that took place in Hajin area of Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces including Jammu and Kashmir’s police Special Operations Group, Army’s Rashtriya Rifle and CRPF personnel launched a joint operation after getting a specific input of the presence of few terrorists in Hajin area.

Following the specific information about the presence of terrorists, security forces launched a cordon and search operation. As the forces closed in on the hiding terrorists, the fired at the security forces triggering the encounter after which one terrorist was killed. The operation is still underway.

DGP S P Vaid tweeted, “One militant of LET apparently killed in an encounter in Hajin, Bandipore today morning in a joint operation of J&K Police/Army/ CRPF.”


On Monday this week, security forces eliminated one Pakistani terrorist belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba terror outfit after a fierce encounter that took place in the same area. On the same day, police busted two terrorist hideouts in Haribudha and Bhatidhar forests in Mendhar and Surankote belts of Poonch district and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition along with the explosive material.
