Chalo Champaran! PM Modi addresses people for their swift efforts to make Bihar ‘Satyagraha Se Swacchagraha’

Patna, April 10: Leading the legacy of cleanliness since the independence era, history has repeated itself. Honoring and appreciating the efforts made by the people to keep the society clean, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the closing ceremony of Cenetary of Champaran Satyagraha in Bihar. The Satyagraha Se Swachhagraha campaign, a yearlong campaign has given the state a vision to move on path of progress and development.

 

Reiterating the century old Mahatma Gandhi Satyagraha Campaign, people from all over the Champaran had come to the street, headed by Gandhi and worked. A hundred years later, while on the same spirit, people from different parts of the country, here, enthusiastic youngsters, have worked shoulder to side with Savachachagarahiyo.


Lauding the people of Bihar for their enthusiasm and zeal towards building the nation, PM Modi approached the people to come forward and take part in the ‘Chalo Champaran’ slogan. Showing the leadership qualities in the journey from Satyagraha to Swachhagrah, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has emboldened the people to come forward and show positive efforts. Bihar was the only state where the scope of hygiene was less than 50% has now broken the barrier after the satyagraha campaign.


The speed and progress cannot be diminished and PM Modi congratulates the people in Bihar for constructing over 8 lakh 50 thousand toilets in Bihar in the past one week. Water is the main concern inclined to hygiene. The foundation laid by the AMRUT scheme, the water supply scheme at the cost of Rs 100 crore will enable to have a clean for encompassing drinking water. This foundation scheme has enabling water supply to more than half million people.



These schemes are used to prevent the dirty water of the house or factory from moving into the Ganga, in Bihar, 11 projects have been sanctioned for more than 3 Thousand crores now. This scheme will permit lying off the long sewage line of 1100kms.


Villages built along the Ganga coast are being freed from open defecation on a priority basis. The waste management schemes are being implemented in the villages of Ganga, so that the village cannot be shed into the garbage river. Soon the Ganga coast will be completely free of defecation in the open.


The National Highway project of Rs 900 crore has been foundation stone laying today. The section of Chordaha, which is now 4 lanes from Aurangabad, is starting from the 6th Lane making job today. These projects will benefit the people of both Bihar and Jharkhand, the two states.


Increasing the attempt to increase rail connectivity, Bihar has got an opportunity to launch a new train on a hundred years of Champaran Satyagraha. The train will run from Katihar to Old Delhi. Its name is specifically placed Champaran Soulmates Express. A train equipped with modern amenities will prove to be very helpful to you in visiting Delhi.


The phase one of the electric locomotive factory in Madhepura has also been release. These factory are important for two reasons. This is a great example of a make in India, and secondly, it is also becoming a big means of employment in the sector:


Enabling people to promote the need of sanitation, major applause goes to the women of the society who have strived hard every now and then complied to the efforts of making India 'Swachh' and 'Surakshit'.
