New Delhi, April 11: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sacked Kumar Vishwas as the party's in-charge in Rajasthan on Wednesday. The party's national treasurer, Deepak Bajpai, has been named the new in-charge.

AAP leader Ashutosh said Bajpai will remain in Rajasthan to strengthen the party’s organisation, strategize for the imminent Assembly elections, create a list of candidates etc.

Ashutosh added Kumar Vishwas was unable to spare enough time to work in Rajasthan and said the party will fight the Assembly election there with full vigour.

He said lashed out at the BJP government over rampant corruption and rising power tariffs. He claimed that people in Rajasthan are looking towards AAP as an alternative to the BJP and Congress.

Kumar Vishwas has been at loggerheads with AAP leadership and was repeatedly snubbed by the party. He was also accused of conspiring against AAP colluding with BJP.

Recently, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal had snubbed him while deciding three names for the Rajya Sabha from Delhi quota. Also, Kumar had expressed unhappiness over Kejriwal’s decision to apologise to several opposition party leaders including Arun Jaitley in defamation cases.
