Karnataka Polls: Kannada actress and former Congress leader Bhavana Ramanna joins BJP

Bengaluru, May 10: On the last day of the high-voltage campaign trail of Karnataka assembly election, ruling party Congress received a nasty jolt when famous Kannada actress Congress leader Bhavana Ramanna parted away with Congress. The ace actress joined BJP in presence of State in-charge P Muralidhar Rao and other state party officials.

According to media reports, the actress was annoyed with the functioning of state Congress leaders. Recently she even walked out from the political meeting of Congress. Earlier, the actor turned politician expressed her wish to contest from Chitradurga constituency.

In 2013, state assembly elections and 2014 general elections, Bhavana extensively campaigned for Congress party. Apart from films, the award-winning actress is famous Bharatnatyam dancer and also associated with HomeTown Productions, a leading production house in Karnataka.
