New Delhi, August 17: Demise of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee has left millions of eyes with tears as his inspiration of new Bharat is still burning like a flame in each and every mind. Preparations are going on for his last rites to be performed at 4 pm at Rashtriya Smriti Sthal and before that his sacred mortal will be kept for last darshan BJP headquarters.


 

Not only the country but the countries all over the world are paying condolences on passing away of Atalji.

The US, Russia and Japan today condoled the demise of unforgettable PM. The American Embassy in New Delhi in a statement said, the US grieves with India on the loss of the former prime minister. It said, the veteran leader will be remembered for his immense contribution in bolstering US-India relations. It said, the US mission in India extends its deepest condolences to the family of Vajpayee and the citizens of India.

 
 
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences to President of India Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the passing of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, outstanding statesman and former prime minister of India.
 
 

Ambassador of Russia to India Nikolay Kudashev said, Russia mourns the death of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a great statesman. The envoy said, Vajpayee's name became an integral part of a whole era in Indian politics. He also signed the Book of Condolence on the passing of the former Prime Minister


 
 
 
Nepal Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli sent a message of condolence on the sad passing away of former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee via twitter and a press release.
 
 

Japanese envoy to India Kenji Hiramatsu said, he is deeply saddened by the passing away of the great leader. Hailing Vajpayee as one of the most inspiring world leaders, the envoy said the upswing in India-Japan relations was only possible by the initiatives started by the former Indian prime minister.

The envoy said, the demise of such a great leader is a great loss not only to India but also to Japan and other part of Asia as well as the entire international community.
 
German Embassy also tweeted condoling Atalji's demise, "Germany in India mourns the passing away of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and sends its heartfelt condolences to his family and the whole Indian nation. UK Minister Mark Field also paid his tribute to Atalji by saying, "#AtalBihariVajpayee was one of India’s great leaders - saddened by his passing and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones. He was a close partner of the UK. Those who remember his State Visit to the UK in 2001 will know how well respected he was here."
 
 
 
Maldives Presidency via twitter paid its homage to Atalji, "“It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the demise of Former Prime Minister of India, Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who would not only be remembered for his distinguished service and leadership for his country but also as a scholar who has made immense contribution to literature and art.

We would fondly remember the Former Prime Minister Vajpayee for his contribution to human resource development in the Maldives, and for the memorable visit that he made to the Maldives during his tenure as the Prime Minister of India.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksha said, India has lost a great leader in his death.

Foreign Secretary Prasad Kariyawasam said, India- Sri Lanka relations were blessed by Vajpayee's futuristic policies and India-Sri Lanka FTA, the first free trade agreement for both countries, stands testimony to his visionary leadership.

Pakistan Prime Minister-designate Imran Khan offered his condolences on the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, saying the best way to honour the "towering leader" is by establishing peace between India & Pakistan.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In a condolence message, She said, Vajpayee was highly respected in Bangladesh as a great friend.
