Uma Bharti assures Ganga Act to be tabled in two weeks; urges Swami Sanand to break his fasts

Haridwar, August 6: Ganga Act will be presented before the cabinet in 2 weeks says Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti when she addressed a press conference after meeting Swami Sanand in Haridwar, who has been fasting for 45 days in the protection of Ganga. She left for Delhi on Saturday night from after meeting with Swami.


 

Late night, she asked 45 days of time to make Ganga Act in a message given to Swami Sanand by social media. She described the life of Ganga and Swami Sanand as very important for the country and also urged Swami Sanand break the fast in the country's interest.

On Saturday evening, Uma Bharti told in a press conference held at Dhamkothi that the act has been going on for long since the Act to protect Ganga. The act is almost ready and will be brought to the cabinet in two weeks. Since the monsoon session will end before the arrival of November, the act will be passed in the winter session. Swami Sanand is like our master and elder brother; he has contributed a lot for the river Ganga.

 

Uma Bharti said that the plan created for the Ganga is extraordinary any river of the world. It has taken 70-80 years to save the world's rivers like Thames and Rhine, but we are working very fast and will complete their work in a quarter time. She said that there will be no shortage from my side, Nitin Gadkari, and Prime Minister Modi.
