Ravi Shankar Prasad slams Kerala government for not allowing NIA probe

Kochi, Oct10: Questioning the intent of CPI(M)-led LDF government Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged that by restricting NIA’s intervention Vijayan government is providing political asylum for the radical elements in the state. Earlier, the Kerala government had filed an affidavit denouncing the intervention of apex investigative agency NIA in the alleged case of ' love jihad' whereas center was in favor of the probe under National Investigation Agency.

Addressing the Janaraksha Yatra organized by the Kerala BJP, Prasad underlined that whenever he comes to the state, he feels bad for the depleting social harmony in the state. The law minister further pointed that state administration is not handling the issue of radicalization of young boys and girls by anti-social fringe elements.

 

 
 
Taking a pot-shot Chief Minister P Vijayan Prasad stated that Kerala government is going soft on terrorism and their patent. Slamming Vijayan for sharing the stage with Madani who reportedly orchestrated the Coimbatore bomb blast which claimed the lives of 38 innocent people, the minister asked,“How can the Chief Minister share dais with a man involved in such a heinous crime?

He also expressed deep concern over the protest march organized by Muslim Ekopana Samithi which is scheduled on 30 March against a High Court judgment which prohibited the marriage conducted by a qazi between a Muslim man and Hindu woman.
