New Delhi, October 23: The Social media trends and data will be analyzed for the first time by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) while monitoring security. The important assets of the Country such as airports, nuclear and aerospace installations will be under scrutiny and monitored with the help of these data.

To track social media trends, a special team of CISF of men and women will be trained. The gathering of news, reports and any other information which is vital for the various airport units will be distributed. The importance of the information will be set up and according to it, the action will be taken regarding the security. Online sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc will be checked by CISF.

CISF Director-General OP Singh said that this project is being done on an experimental basis. The smart centers will be further strengthened as per the experience. He further added that the main purpose of this project is to effectively monitor social media giants like Twitter, YouTube, Flickr etc to search for a pattern that endangers the security.

The CISF came into existence in 1969 with a modest beginning, having three battalions, to provide integrated security cover to the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) which, in those years, occupied the commanding heights of the economy.
