New Delhi, November 27: Income Tax department has sent 30.67 crore rupees tax notice to Aam Aadmi Party for providing false information of donation. The party has been asked to pay the penalty by December 07.
However, the Income tax department official said, it is routine affair.
The AAP, however, termed the IT department's assessment as bogus and mala fide adding that they have full confidence in law and order.
The Aam Admi Party celebrated it 5th foundation day in New Delhi yesterday. On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejrwial had criticized the BJP over the issue of corruption, alleging that the ruling party's record is as bad as the Congress.
On the other hand, both the BJP and the Congress have accused the AAP of betraying the people of Delhi. BJP's Delhi unit president Manoj Tiwari accused the AAP of lowering the political discourse despite its claim of being an alternative to the old politics.
Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken said that the AAP has not only betrayed the people, but also broken all the promises made to them before coming to power.
