Mumbai, September 17: For the first time in India, Maharashtra is about to hold the ‘tree-plantation conclave’ which aims to plant 50 Crore saplings by 2019 to conserve and protect rivers. Also on other side, Spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev is striving enthusiastically to bring out change through #RallyforRivers.
Maharashtra government will be organizing ‘Tree Plantation Conclave’ at Raj Bhavan today which will highlight the mission by planting 50 Crore saplings to conserve and protect our rivers.
This event will be marked by the presence of Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Women and Child Development Minister Pankaja Munde, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev who is already rallying for rivers across the nation.
Speaking about the conclave Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantinwar said that "This conclave will send a positive message to people about environmental conservation and protection." As MoU was signed between the Isha Foundation and Maharashtra government for #RallyforRivers, this conclave will accelerate the purpose more effectively.
