Davos, January 23: Davos has become center of attraction as it has laid the red carpet for top world leaders and companies. But there is a twist that these leaders will also be seen in track pants, t-shirts, with napkins, mats and water bottles as they are going to learn Yoga over there. Yes, this is true that colors of Indian-ness have glittered the foreign eyes as well.
During the five days Summit at Davos, two Yoga Acharyas of Patanjali Yoga Peeth will teach Yoga every day in
the morning and evening. These two Acharyas were accompanied by PM Modi’s delegation.
Acharya Smit and Acharya Bharadwaj have expressed happiness over the yoga practice in the Davos Summit. While thanking PM Modi, he said that due to the PM he got an opportunity to teach yoga at the international level.
Speaking on this Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev said, 'This is the first time that Yoga will be done on the World Economic Forum (WEF). Our two Acharyas have reached Davos. Both Acharya will do yoga in the morning and in the evening.’
This has made the message of Yoga benefits more strong at an international level. PM Modi’s initiatives to give Yoga a powerful status is getting strong day-by-day. In 2015, United Nations declared June 21 as International Yoga Day on the proposal of PM Modi during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), on September 27, 2014.
