D Roopa pitches for gender equality

Bengaluru, January 31: Underlining the importance of gender equality in all professions, senior Cop D Roopa said that society must shun the stereotypical approach towards women. Speaking at the discussion on 'Future of school education in Karnataka, the dynamic IPS officer opined that it is the responsibly of policymakers to introduced inspiring tales of women, who shattered the established notions and performed exceedingly well in this competitive world.

The senior officer maintained that various interactive modules should be incorporated in order to sharpen the skills of school children. She further added that techno-savvy generation is paying less attention to threats associated with the cyber world. The upright officer D Roopa was in news for her courageous operation against AIDMK leader V. K. Sasikala where she had highlighted alleged irregularities at the Bengaluru central jail.
